Beginner Leader in Training (B.L.T)
This camp is for the maturing kid who wants to become a positive role model! B.L.T’s will learn about teamwork, inclusion, and communication with our younger campers, while also gaining a deeper understanding of camp from the Leader’s perspective. B.L.T’s will participate in skits, team challenges, and practice understanding the importance of play and fairness. Near the end of the week, B.L.T’s will have the opportunity to run a special activity for Camp Nonsense.
Cost: $240 + HST
Ages: 11 - 13
Time: Monday to Friday 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Drop Off / Pick Up: NSK 1424 Gerrard St E.
Week Five: August 6th - 9th
Notes: B.L.T’s will be allowed a 30 min unsupervised lunch break and will be allowed to leave on their own at the end of camp.
Leader in Training (LIT) Pre - Summer Course
LIT is a volunteer program where participants will learn exactly what it takes to be a camp counsellor. Through games and workshops, our LIT’s will get silly while learning the valuable skills needed to thrive in a camp setting. Throughout the weeks, participants will plan a camp day, build a resume, learn about working with kids of all abilities, and study proper safety protocols for camp environments. Following the in-class training, LIT’s will volunteer in an NSK camp of their choosing where they will gain 35 - 40 volunteer hours. This program is for the leaders of the future!
Cost: $125 + HST
Ages: 13+ (Going into Gr. 9)
When: Mondays beginning May 19th -June 23rd Time: 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Drop Off / Pick Up: NSK 1424 Gerrard St E.
